Welcome to the latest “bumper” edition of the Ingenta Connect library newsletter. There’s a lot to discuss in this edition. First, we are pleased to announce the launch (and first-ever winner) of the George Pitcher Award for localised technical innovation in academic library services, won this year by the University of Central Lancashire.
We have more on Library Membership, which is now fully live, and on the latest from the Copyright Licensing Agency UK on rights and permissions using their brand-new DCS service. In January we attended the APE (Academic Publishing in Europe) conference, and we have feedback on that enjoyable annual event. We have the latest on COUNTER5, and then conclude with our regular Focus On… feature (in this edition we look at Nursing) and Events.
